Women's Network Northern Territory is the largest non-political organisation for WOMEN IN THE TOP END. Our aim is to support and promote you in areas of professional development, leadership and to connect women through networking.

Kathryn 'Chooka' is our very special guest speaker at the Go Red For Women Luncheon

My friends call me “Chook”, but my cardiologist calls me non-physiologic because I’m totally dependent on a cardiac pacemaker and rely on it for every single heartbeat. My pacemaker is fitted with breathing and motion sensors which help calculate what my heart rate should be. I have been like this for over twenty seven years. In order to strengthen my heart and to build endurance, I set out to do one of the world’s biggest marathons; the New York City Marathon. Together with a team of health professionals and my cardiologist, I didn’t do one NY Marathon, I did three!!!

I don’t run marathons anymore, but I have a “marathon” lifestyle.
